Google shows you ads for anti-abortion centers when you search for clinics near you

"When people are looking for abortion services, they often turn to Google, searching a phrase like "abortion clinic near me" or "planned parenthood." Yet the ads they'll see at the top of the Google search results are often not abortion providers at all, but instead misleading ads for anti-abortion "crisis pregnancy centers" — facilities that use various tactics to dissuade or delay pregnant people from getting an abortion...."

NY bill would shield abortion providers who send pills out-of-state

"The New York state legislature has passed a bill that would protect medical providers in the state who provide abortion pills to patients in states where the procedure is restricted. Under the bill, abortion providers in New York will be shielded from out-of-state attempts to pursue legal action. The bill states that officials in New York will refuse to cooperate with any outside litigation from states that have outlawed abortion. It adds that New York providers are protected as long as they're in compliance with state law...."

‘Not based on science’: US confronts abortion ‘reversal’ myths

"Wracked by guilt after taking an abortion pill, a sobbing woman calls a US hotline. It recommends a "reversal" treatment to save the fetus—despite medical warnings that it is potentially life-threatening. Misinformation about medical termination appears to have skyrocketed since last June, when the Supreme Court overturned the landmark 1973 Roe v. Wade decision that guaranteed a constitutional right to abortion...."

Anger to action: How DFLers transformed Minnesota abortion rights after Roe

"This is part one of a five-part series from MPR News examining the state of abortion in Minnesota one year after Roe v. Wade was overturned. Rage.  Minnesota House Speaker Melissa Hortman said that’s what she and her allies felt last year on June 24 as the U.S. Supreme Court overturned Roe v. Wade. Fifty years of constitutional protection for abortion was gone. Almost immediately, states around the country began locking down access to legal abortion. Minnesota still had protections in state constitutional law, but supporters worried it wouldn’t hold. The ground seemed to be shifting rapidly. How would Minnesota respond?..."

Wade, according to data provided to NPR by the National Institute for Reproductive Health...."

"There is now one fewer place to access abortion in Utah after Planned Parenthood closed its only clinic outside the Salt Lake City metropolitan area. The Planned Parenthood Association of Utah said on Thursday that the Logan clinic has long been staffed with one provider, who left to take another position in March. The northern Utah city of 52,000 is home to Utah State University and about 20 miles (32 kilometers) from Idaho, where abortions have been banned except for in cases of rape or incest since last year...."

In rare 3-3 decision, Iowa Supreme Court declines to reinstate law largely banning abortion

"Abortion will remain legal in Iowa after the state’s high court declined Friday to reinstate a law that would have largely banned the procedure, rebuffing Republican Gov. Kim Reynolds and, for now, keeping the conservative state from joining others with strict abortion limits. In a rare 3-3 split decision, the Iowa Supreme Court upheld a 2019 district court ruling that blocked the law. The latest ruling comes roughly a year after the same body — and the U.S. Supreme Court — determined that women do not have a fundamental constitutional right to abortion...."

Abortion care training is banned in some states. A new bill could help OB-GYNs get it

It establishes a grant program, to provide $25 million each year – for the next five years – to fund medical students who leave their states to learn abortion care, and programs that train them. It's especially important in states like Wisconsin that have near total bans on abortion...."
